Gen-3 optical switches close the circuit with light, not metal. With no mechanical bounce there's no artificial debounce delay to add (typically 4 to 8 ms on mechanical switches) and no double-clicking as the switch wears. Razer puts actuation at 0.2 ms: one of the few latency figures a manufacturer publishes as a comparable number.
Plenty of mice advertise 8 kHz and then sell the receiver that enables it separately. Here the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle is in the box, so the 0.125 ms interval is available on day one. The trade-off is that battery life at 8 kHz drops well below the 95 h quoted at 1000 Hz.
It's among the lightest mice with a solid, unperforated shell. The six grams it saves over a Superlight 2 show up most when stopping: less inertia means the mouse halts where you halt, which is exactly what the final micro-correction of a flick needs.

The favourite of half the Valorant scene. The flat, symmetrical shape suits claw and fingertip perfectly, 54 g allows very fast flicks, and the included 8 kHz polling cuts latency variance at the moment that matters most: the frame a head appears.
It works well, but the flat, light shape favours flicking over the smooth sustained tracking Rocket League asks for. If you play on mouse with a palm grip, a taller shape will give you more support on long camera swings.
Gen-3 optical switches with 0.2 ms actuation and no debounce are among the best options for high-CPS PvP: the click registers the instant you make it, the reset is immediate, and there are 90 million clicks of rated life to survive jitter clicking.
