A 10 mm dynamic handles bass and four balanced armatures split mids and treble. Dividing the work lets each driver move less and distort less in its band. The trade-off, and it matters, is that marrying five drivers demands a well-made crossover: in this price range coherence is never perfect.
Armatures are extremely fast at high frequencies, which is where footsteps and reloads live. That's why hybrid IEMs are so popular for shooters: treble detail shows up without having to raise the overall volume.
The cable is where in-ears always die. A recessed 0.75 mm 2-pin connector lets you replace it for a few euros instead of binning the earphone, and the recessed design handles tugs better than flush connectors.

The armatures' very present treble favours footstep localisation, and the seal's isolation helps in noisy environments. Against the Truthear it gives up some coherence and naturalness; and like it, there's no microphone.

Absolutely phenomenal earbuds 3 years later, I can't find anything else that sounds as good as these honestly, crisp and clear and some seriously good bass for buds. And a decently wide soundstage You will have to EQ down the treble side and that's coming from someone that likes treble. For around $50-60 it's a good deal. Get a bluetooth adapter and ir beats most regular bluetooth buds. My only con I will say they can get a little uncomfortable after a while I think just because they take up a lot more space inside your ear
I use these when playing at my church because it's much easier to hear than my floor monitor which often get drowned out by other nearby people's differently adjusted monitors. I use it in one ear and it lets me hear the surroundings as well as the detail I need from the in ear. The sound from these is really nice. I've also had a much more expensive sennheiser studio headset I've used for years at home, I wouldn't be able to make a nit-picky comparison but they sound just as nice.
I am a professional musician, and I bought these as a back up to my main set of custom molded in ear stage monitors. These were being compared to a set of 64 ears brand triple driver custom molded inserts, costing over 800.00. I run ampless on stage, so I rely heavily on my in ear monitoring to hear everything going on during a performance. Needless to say I demand a lot out of my in ear monitoring device. Last weekend my main ears went down, so I switched to these. Much to my surprise, they worked incredibly well. Were they equal to my expensive system? No, not at all. But these did have a rich, full low end usually lacking in cheap earbuds. The midrange was very pronounced in the 800hz-12k
I no have two of these, one pair is for the laptop, the other is attached to the BT adapter from the same company (which is terrific!). I review earphones and headphones as a hobby for a non-American branch of IGN so I had a lot of sets in my lifetime, and these really sound equisite! I am sure there are better ones out there for those who have too much money, and yet I can easily recommend these to anyone! For music: every sound is separated, clear and vibrant. the bass is so delicious, these really sound great, i cannot stress this enough.
